The Rebuttalists
About
The Woke Capture Index began with two school fights that should never have been necessary. Paul, an engineer and dad to a teenage daughter from the North, near Manchester, and Thomas, an architect and dad to a wee lad from the South, in London, each took on the hyper-progressivism that had taken hold in their children’s schools. They succeeded. They also learned that a parent standing alone is easy to isolate, and that the same patterns were showing up well beyond one classroom.
They supported one another through that process. Ever since, they have paid it forward: a private members group for parents, educational and healthcare professionals who need the same peer support they once needed. That circle became The Rebuttalists. It holds two temperaments in cooperative tension on purpose. Among them are the personally injured — like Paul — and the intellectually insulted — like Thomas. One knows what capture costs a family. The other will not let sloppy thinking pass as care. Together they keep the work grounded enough to investigate systematically what institutions actually do.

They envision fostering independent thought and enduring character in future generations by treating education as a presentation of pluralistic perspectives. Their mission is to safeguard against harmful identitarian groupthink by cultivating a positive regard towards objective reality, in pursuit of the True, the Good, and the Beautiful. The method is deliberately narrow: present evidence and observable markers of how ideology shows up in daily institutional behaviour and practice, without attempting to prove the doctrine false on paper.
The Woke Capture Index is the public face of that method. We will know it is working when ideological capture retreats, year after year, in the ordinary conduct of schools, colleges, universities and healthcare bodies. We value transparency, determination and patience, and we invite others to work in the same vein — so that the next generation is left something sturdier than an approved line. That duty is already written into law: sections 406 and 407 of the Education Act 1996 forbid the promotion of one partisan political view as if it were unchallengeable fact, and require that political issues brought to pupils are offered as a balanced presentation of opposing views.
The case for keeping a public record is on Rationale. How a page is scored is on Methodology.
